2025 Annual Report

2025 marked a turning point in the pursuit of justice for refugees in Malawi. Despite significant challenges, including reduced protection capacity due to funding cuts, the year brought renewed hope. A shift away from policies rooted in hostility, alongside national consultations on reforming the Malawi Refugees Act, signaled a growing commitment to dignity, inclusion, and the rule of law. Among our key highlights was supporting 93 refugees and asylum seekers through legal representation and 1,698 others through community-based interventions, while continuing to advocate for systemic reform. We also expanded our work to address urgent needs in health, education, and emergency support. This progress reflects the resilience of the refugee community and a collective effort to ensure that justice is not only envisioned, but realized. In addition, our advocacy reached over 33.5 million people across various media platforms. Read more in our 2025 Annual Report and discover how you can partner with us to amplify refugee voices and advance the full realization of their rights.
