Malawi Police Service Commended for Acting Against Human Trafficking

Inua Advocacy commends the Malawi Police Service for arresting six police officers and an Ethiopian national suspected of involvement in human trafficking, following the interception of 16 undocumented Ethiopians in Kasungu. We are calling for thorough investigations into wider trafficking networks operating in Dzaleka and Lilongwe, accountability for all those implicated, protection of victims and witnesses, and stronger regional law enforcement cooperation.
